Posters not removed before the end of their assigned removal time will be considered unwanted and will be 
discarded. NNS assumes no responsibility for posters left on poster boards at the conclusion of poster sessions.

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Congratulations on being accepted as a poster presenter! The poster sessions maximize your opportunity to interact with meeting participants. 

Posters authors are required to:

1. Set up and remove your poster during the assigned times
2. Display the poster for the entire day of your assigned session
3. Attend your assigned Poster Session to answer questions. 

Please read the following guidelines and information before you begin to create your poster presentation. Give considerable thought to the design and presentation of your poster to make sure that it stands out as an attractive and informative presentation. You want to be certain that the reader of the poster comes away with a clear understanding of your research.

CREATING YOUR POSTER PRESENTATION 

Display Area

• Maximum Size: 48 inches x 48 inches (48" x 96" for Student Finalists only)
• Thumb tacks (approx. 10) will be provided to hang your poster.

Format

• Posters presentations are hard-copy (paper/poster) format only
• Posters must fit within the 48 inches X 48 inches designated space (48" x 96" for Student Finalists only)
• The most successful and attractive posters are graphically-produced posters that highlight and summarize the main points, with the poster presenter filling in the details
• The least effective poster format is a photocopy of the manuscript

Your poster presentation should include:

• The poster title and all authors should appear at the top of the poster
• A brief introduction, goals, experimental detail, conclusions and references (make sure this information is presented in a logical and clear sequence)
• Explanations for graphs, pictures, and tables

Font Sizes (minimum recommendations)

• Title: 36 point type
• List of authors: 25 point type
• Double-spaced text: 15 point type
• The entire poster layout should be readable from 6- 10 feet away
• Be careful in your use of colors; some people are red-green colorblind and some colors do not stand out in contrast to others.

How to Place your Order:

2. Attach your flattened PDF file
3. In the email body, please include the following:
   1. Your Full Name
   2. Delivery Details (hotel name, address, and check-in date).  If you are arriving on Sunday, your poster will be delivered 1-2 days prior to your arrival and will be held at the Front Desk for you to claim upon your arrival.
   3. Request a Payment Form (No orders will be processed without payment)
   4. Students: Attach a copy of your scanned student ID for a 10% discount off your order!

DO NOT place your order online at FedEx.com, as online orders are printed “as is” and cannot be corrected if there are any mistakes in the file.
