This lunch session is intended to support success in the scientific world. He will give a 30-40 min presentation followed by a minimum of 20 minutes for open questions from attendees.

TEAMbuilding & Networking Event @ LumberjAxes
This year TEAM is excited to host an axe-throwing event at Pittsburgh’s first competitive axe-throwing venue, LumberjAxes. Yes, competitive axe-throwing is a thing. It’s huge in Canada (and apparently Pittsburgh, too). Adults of all skill levels can try their hand at it.
Faculty and trainees will be mixed into unique groups of 10-12, assigned a lane and will take turns throwing at a target. (It’s sort of like bowling, but without the silly shoes. And with way more axes.) Axe-throwing will be followed by a mentoring session where all of our trainees will get to have 15-20 min with three different faculty over an hour. In the past, this type of networking and mentorship session has been extremely successful in introducing our junior mentors to the society and has been a valuable networking and team building experience. Pizza and beer/wine will be provided. Casual attire; Please note that NO SANDALS or OPEN TOED SHOES are allowed. Tickets are $35 per person - add to your registration
