What are Room Block Pirates?
When NNS secures sleeping rooms (commonly referred to as room blocks) at hotels for our annual symposium, the property is researched to ensure that attendees and exhibitors are adequately accommodated, rooms meet our standards, there is a discounted rate provided for our attendees, and, because the reservations were made in our room block, any issues which may occur can be handle swiftly through NNS or the hotel.
The practice of room poaching makes it more difficult for us to meet our room block commitments and can expose NNS to penalties and increased room rates that are passed on to our attendees and exhibitors attending the conference.

Remember, if you are contacted by anyone other than NNS or the conference host hotel asking if you need a room for the Neurotrauma meeting, you should tell the caller directly that they are not to contact you any further and to take you off of their call list immediately.
